A family donor-advised fund

A small fund,
planting where it can.

We give to people doing quiet, careful work — in global health, in the neighborhood we live in, and on the long shots that almost no one else will fund.

How we give

Three things we try to get right.

Generosity over rigor

We'd rather fund someone earnest with a rough plan than someone polished with a perfect one.

Patience over speed

Most of what matters compounds quietly. We give multi-year support where we can.

Trust over reporting

Our applications are short. So are our reports. We won't ask you for a logframe.

What we fund

Four gardens, tended in parallel.

We split our giving roughly across four areas — not because we're experts, but because each asks something different of us.

Open learning

Lowering the price of curiosity. Books in kids' hands, tutoring, scholarships.

Global health

Direct, evidence-backed interventions. Bednets. Vitamins. Cash transfers.

Local good

The neighborhood we live in. Food banks, mutual aid, libraries.

Long shots

People doing weird, important things that no one else will fund yet.

Recent grantees

A short, ongoing list.

We share names so others can find these organizations. Grant amounts are kept private out of respect for our grantees.
